Computer,nicknamed as "Electronic Brain",is considered to be one of the greatest inventions in human history.It has influence on every aspect of life.Some phenomena occur to our life as a result of the development of computer.
Marveling at computers' amazing calculation speed and enhanced intelligence,some are afraid of the "rebellion"of computers.Will man be controlled by computers?The answer is no.Although a computer works much faster and accurately than man,a fact is undeniable:it is designed,manufactured and programmed by man,and therefore controlled by human beings.Of course,science fictions have made up many fascinating stories about a computer,or robot,who conquers man and the Earth,even the whole universe;however,they are only unrealistc imaginations.With the widespread of computer nerwork and technologies,more and more people are getting hooked on the Internet and becomes slaves to Internet chat rooms or games.The computer addiction results in disrupted marriages,childhook delinquency,crime and over-spending.Now a counseling and therapy center for Internet addicts has been set up in Beijing.
The future for the computer is very promising.With the help of it,we can do things that could not be done before.However,we must notice and minimize its negative effects.
